Yusun received her Master in Architecture degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and B.A. from Dartmouth College. She is a Registered Architect in California and Texas, LEED accredited, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Prior to starting her own practice, Yusun was a valued team member at Mark Cavagnero Associates, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and Herzog & de Meuron.
